AMU offers about 250 branches of study to the aspirants. The level of study in AMU begins from the school level to the post graduation level. AMU organizes entrance exams for the admission of students in to the MBBS and BDS course annually. It is usually carried out in the month of May every year. For the entry in these courses the candidates must qualify the entrance test with not less than 50% in aggregate.
Qualifying Examinations for AMU Medical Entrance Exam
The candidates who are interested in joining the medical course should satisfy some qualification criteria. They must have secured a pass in the higher secondary education or equivalent. Also the minimum percentage should not be less than 50% for the subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English. No relaxations are allowed in any of the criterias.
Age Qualification for AMU Medical Entrance Exam
In addition to the educational qualifications, the candidates must satisfy the age criterion. They must have attained 17 years of age. The age criterion is compulsory at the time of admission.
Who can apply for AMU Medical Entrance Exam?
All Indian citizens are eligible to apply for this examination provided that they should meet the educational and age qualification as prescribed by the University. The foreign nationals are also eligible to apply for the test.
Eligibility for the Foreign Nationals/NRI/PIO for AMU Medical Entrance Exam
Apart from Indian students the foreign nationals are also eligible to take part in this entrance exam. The University not only takes the students from within the country but also from Africa, South East Asia and West Asia. Some seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to SAARC and Commonwealth countries.

Test Paper Details: There shall be one objective type paper of 200 marks comprising 200 questions on Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Zoology.
